For the second year in a row, Active Citizenship Summer (ACS) International supported a student-designed study trip to Guatemala. Kathryn Taylor’11 and Mike Niconchuk ’11 returned to lead this year’s trip, bringing a total of 18 students to Guatemala.

From her earliest moments, Denise Durham Williams, ’79, knew education was a powerful asset. She watched her single mother persevere to get her college degree despite many economic obstacles. Today, Williams’ life has come full circle as she returned to Boston earlier this year as the Executive Director for One Family, Inc., a not-for-profit organization with the mission to end family homelessness.
