Lincoln Filene Center for Community Partnerships

The Lincoln Filene Center for Community Partnerships (LFC) facilitates strong, meaningful, and sustainable relationships between Tufts and its host communities. We support and encourage students and faculty members to work with partner communities in addressing community-identified needs. These positive citizenship activities can take many forms including academic research, curriculum development, forums and conferences, coursework, internships, volunteer work, and more.
LFC's work includes:
  • Advancing active research, education, and community service partnerships between organizations in Tufts host communities and Tufts students and faculty.
  • Developing resources for active citizenship at Tufts
  • Operating the Carol R. Goldberg Civic Engagement Initiative, in collaboration with The Boston Foundation, and supporting additional projects that address critical local public policy issues and capacity-building for host community organizations.
