The Tisch Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) is a university-wide initiative to make the values and skills of active citizenship a hallmark of a Tufts education. Open to undergraduate and graduate students from all of Tufts' schools, CEF contributes to the Tisch mission by providing financial support to students independently engaged in active citizenship work. Through the Civic Engagement Fund, students and student groups can apply to receive advising and seed funding for innovative projects with an active citizenship theme. CEF attracts students who are passionate and committed to unique projects that otherwise would not be possible.
A Tufts undergraduate or graduate student can receive up to $500 in funding. Tufts student organizations or groups can receive up to $1000 in funding. The money is intended to offer compensation for time and/or cover project expenses. Students must demonstrate a plan to seek other funds or in-kind donations.
