Scholars07081Mission Statement
To encourage community building, forge relationships with our community based on service, educate others on the importance of active citizenship, and incorporate public service into our lifestyle.

The Tisch College Citizenship and Public Service (CPS) Scholars Program
works with students to develop leadership skills and to play a significant role in elevating active citizenship at Tufts. Citizenship and Public Service (CPS) Scholars act as catalysts in the general student population, engaging peers and faculty in the values and activities of active citizenship. Through individual and group projects, scholars contribute to improving conditions in communities at Tufts and in the larger world. In collaboration with local organizations, Scholars work on projects to create positive change and build capacity in Tufts’ partner communities, as well as throughout the world. The only time we recruit for this program is in a student's freshman and sophomore years.
